BRIGANDINE ABYSS Faction Tier List
Six story campaigns. No Aethermoor. Mission Mode is homework.
This faction tier list ranks the six Story Mode campaigns in BRIGANDINE ABYSS for first-time commanders versus veterans. It does not rank invented nations, fake leader auras, or a seventh story path named Aethermoor. The campaigns Adglobe shipped are Gran Dragnica, Scarlet Will, Mysteine, Purifanoe, Samura Clan, and Pandemyuon. Mission Mode adds twenty-four factions with unique win conditions; that mode’s difficulty is the assignment (domination, stronghold building, monster collecting), not a hidden combat power level. For nation flavor without ranking, use the Faction Overview. For a plain-language starter pick, use Best Faction.
Story Mode is the long war: event battles, plot-locked targets, geographically restricted classes, and special maps that can throw six enemy squads at your usual three. Mission Mode is a ninety-nine-season sandbox with one castle and a homework sheet. Mixing those ladders is how wikis start lying.
S-tier on-ramp: Scarlet Will and Gran Dragnica
Scarlet Will is the unicorn campaign. Official flavor makes the army readable: you see what you are supposed to be, you learn Command Points on a fantasy that matches the marketing, and you are not asked to parse chimera kits before you understand Rally. Gran Dragnica is the dragon campaign. Dragons teach the other half of the on-ramp: they are expensive, they raise CP when they class-change, and they force the drop-a-unit decision that every later nation will repeat. Both belong first because reviews and this wiki’s How to Play loop agree that Organization habits matter more than a secret broken leader skill this page will not invent.
Play these two until you can deploy three squads, Rally without losing the absorbed monster to a dead leader, and send mercenaries on quests instead of plot knights. Then the other four campaigns stop feeling like a different game and start feeling like a different monster shop.
A-tier once the loop clicks: Mysteine and Purifanoe
Public coverage does not publish a complete difficulty chart with numeric scores for Mysteine and Purifanoe. This list still places them after the unicorn and dragon on-ramps because they are fully featured story paths with their own event battles and geographic class mixes—not because a reviewer crowned a winner. Treat them as A-tier for players who already know Niffrom’s Market, class-change items at level 20, and the three-versus-six squad specials. If a later official guide ranks them differently, believe the patch notes, not a fabricated early-game aura.
What you can say without fiction: every story nation uses the same Command Point, Rally, and class-change rules. The difference is starting knights, monster identity, and which slice of Meltitea you see. Classes restricted by region mean a Mysteine or Purifanoe run will still teach kits Scarlet Will never showed. That is replay value, not a stealth S-tier.
Veteran story picks: Samura Clan and Pandemyuon
Samura Clan is the geographically distinct story identity. Expect a different class mix and a campaign that assumes you already know when to occupy a leader on an expedition. Pandemyuon is the chimera campaign. Chimeras are the high-upside monster identity; they are a poor first teacher if you still confuse Fate Binding with Rally. Veterans who want a second or third full story should pick these two after Scarlet Will or Gran Dragnica, not because they are “hard mode nations” with unpublished stat penalties, but because their fantasy is easier to waste when Organization is sloppy.
All six campaigns are completable. Event battles can still wall you with unique objectives and locked knights. Keep extra saves. Rank your comfort, not a PvP chart this single-player game does not have.
Mission Mode is not a seventh story tier
Mission Mode’s twenty-four factions include monster-flavored nations such as Ebony Fang (ash wolves), Noble Enhance (vampires), Luon Hearts (kraken), Centuria (mermaids), Kelmoon (centaurs), Talentis (lizardmen), Kuklock (kukrodolls), and Delzia (dullahan). Those names matter for the Monster Tier List and Best Monsters pages. They do not get S/A/B combat ranks here. A monster-collecting win condition is not “easier Gran Dragnica.” A domination condition is not “Scarlet Will but stronger.” You have ninety-nine seasons. The computer trains. Your homework is the win screen, not a DPS check.
If you came from a template wiki that listed Aethermoor, Pyralis, or Stonehammer, ignore it. Those are not Meltitea’s story six.
What to do with this ranking
Start Scarlet Will or Gran Dragnica. Learn Rally on the Rally guide and fights on Combat Tips. Spend Command Points using the Class System, Stats, and Monster Summoning pages. Rank knight jobs on the Class Tier List. When you want a second story, take Samura Clan or Pandemyuon on purpose. When you want a third kind of difficulty, open Mission Mode and read the win condition twice before you judge the nation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions about BRIGANDINE ABYSS.
Which story nation should I play first?
Scarlet Will or Gran Dragnica. They teach Command Points and Rally on readable monster identities—unicorns or dragons—before chimera-heavy or region-locked campaigns.
Why is Aethermoor missing?
It is not a BRIGANDINE ABYSS story campaign. The six are Gran Dragnica, Scarlet Will, Mysteine, Purifanoe, Samura Clan, and Pandemyuon.
Is Mission Mode ranked by faction power?
No. Difficulty is the win condition—conquest, strongholds, collecting—not a combat tier. All 24 factions are different assignments in a 99-season sandbox.
Are lower-ranked story campaigns bad?
No. Samura Clan and Pandemyuon are veteran picks because their identity is easier to misuse, not because they cannot finish the war.
