BRIGANDINE ABYSS Game Modes

BRIGANDINE ABYSS is one war with two ways to enter it. Story Mode is six authored campaigns on Meltitea after Chaossolus steals the Brigandine and declares the Abyssloa Empire reborn. Mission Mode is twenty-four nations, all unlocked from the first menu, each with a unique win condition. Both modes use the same season loop: Organization, Attack, Invasion. Both are single-player. Neither adds a second human opponent.

Adglobe developed the game. Happinet and NIS America publish it. Standard price is $49.99. Steam launched August 26, 2026; consoles launched August 27, 2026. This page is how you pick a mode, not how you Rally a lizard. For the loop itself, read How to Play. For SKUs, read Editions.

Story Mode: six campaigns

Story Mode is the narrative path. You pick one of six nations. Each campaign has its own leader, flavor of army, and event battles against the returning Abyssloa Empire. Some rival nations cannot be attacked until a story event unlocks them. Event battles can pull any of your units regardless of where they sit on the map, which is not how a normal Invasion works.

Gran Dragnica is led by Largo. The nation is known for dragon tamers. It is one of the two campaigns the demo samples, which is why many first full-game runs start here.

Scarlet Will is led by Garnet. The army is built around unicorn mercenaries. It is the other demo campaign. Mercenaries who lose a battle are gone forever in every mode, which matters more when your identity is hired blades.

Mysteine, also called the Queendom, is led by Zeilzarde. The campaign is tied to Lunadea’s will — the same sorcerer who forged the Brigandine that once stopped Abyssloa. Two hundred years later Solginat was the superpower; this path is the one that still carries Lunadea’s thread.

Purifanoe is led by Alicebelle, a name some materials romanize as Alysbelle. Fairies define the roster. Do not invent extra fairy-nation DLC; this is one of the six shipped Story campaigns.

The Samura Clan is led by Saya. Pandemyuon is led by TYPE-F and uses chimeras. Those two complete the six. There is no seventh Story nation in the box, and Mission Mode’s 24 slots are not extra Story campaigns with hidden cutscenes.

Campaign-by-campaign structure belongs on Story campaigns and the faction overview. Use those pages when you want starting flavor, not when you still need the difference between Story and Mission.

Mission Mode: 24 nations from the start

Mission Mode does not drip-feed nations. All 24 are available immediately. Each nation has a unique win condition. Confirmed types include conquest, debt, money, monster collection, class limits, and short season limits. A typical Mission run lasts 99 seasons. That is a long clock, unless your objective is one of the short season limits, in which case the clock is the point.

Do not treat Mission Mode as a second Story Mode with the serial numbers filed off. There is no requirement to play Story first. There is no unlock wall. If your win condition is debt or a monster catalog, painting every neighbor is wasted seasons. Mission Mode is the deep page for those objectives. This page only states the rules of entry: 24 nations, unique wins, 99 seasons as the typical length, all selectable on day one.

This wiki will not invent extra Mission names. If a list starts adding places that are not in the shipped 24, it is fan fiction. Stick to the nations the game actually offers.

Difficulty: Easy, Normal, Hard

You get three difficulties. Easy, Normal, and Hard. Normal is already demanding. That sentence is the whole warning. Do not look for a Casual or Expert row that is not in the options. Story and Mission share this slider. A Hard Mission with a class-limit win condition is a different puzzle from a Hard Gran Dragnica campaign, but the named tiers are the same three.

Demo: two seasons, no transfer

The demo is the first two seasons of Gran Dragnica and Scarlet Will. It is a slice of Story Mode, not a Mission sandbox. Demo saves do not transfer to the full release. Official materials are explicit. Play the demo to learn Organization, a first Attack, and one Invasion. Do not invest quest items and mercenaries as if they will be waiting in the $49.99 campaign.

Release covers dates, languages, and staff. Editions covers Deluxe, Limited, and Steam extras. Controls covers pads, PC 1.01, and the Switch 2 30fps lock.

Shared systems inside both modes

Whichever mode you pick, Organization still sends leaders on quests they cannot fight during. Invasion still allows up to three leader squads and up to five monsters per leader through Command Points. Rally still steals a passive; Lizard Rally can still grant two actions. Class change still hits at level 10, and level 20 still needs a quest item except for faction leaders. Vertical terrain still matters. Those rules are in How to Play, Rally, combat tips, classes, and monster summoning.

When you need rankings after a few campaigns, use the tier list. For a purchase verdict, use the review. Patches are on Updates. The Guides hub plus base building and quests and training cover Organization once you know which mode you are in.
