BRIGANDINE ABYSS Release
August 2026 dates, platforms, staff, languages, and a demo that does not carry over.
BRIGANDINE ABYSS launched in August 2026 as a single-player tactical strategy RPG. Adglobe developed it. Happinet publishes it in Japan. NIS America publishes it in the West. Steam for PC arrived on August 26, 2026. Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S arrived on August 27, 2026. Xbox is digital-only. The Standard price is $49.99. There is no multiplayer.
The war is set on Meltitea. The Brigandine armor was forged by the sorcerer Lunadea and once stopped the Abyssloa Empire. Two hundred years later the Kingdom of Solginat is the superpower, until advisor Chaossolus kills the king, steals the Brigandine, and declares Abyssloa reborn. That is the crisis Story Mode plays. This page is the store-page facts around that crisis: dates, languages, staff, demo rules, and platform options. For SKU contents, use Editions. For Story versus Mission, use Game Modes.
Platforms and price
PC is the Steam SKU. Consoles are Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S one day later. The one-day split is the shipped calendar, not a rumor. Xbox has no disc. If you want a physical object in the West, you are looking at PS5 disc or the Switch 2 Game Key Card Limited Edition, not an Xbox box.
$49.99 is Standard. Deluxe and Limited are priced and bundled on the Editions page. Steam also sells a Digital Soundtrack at $12.99 and a Digital Artbook at $9.99. Those are extras, not gameplay DLC. No story expansion has been announced.
You can save at any time. Steam Cloud and achievements are part of the PC release. Full controller support is confirmed on the pads the consoles ship with; PC also supports mouse and keyboard. Controls lists the PC 1.01 option set without inventing keybinds.
Languages
The game supports English, Japanese, French, German, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Japanese includes audio. That is the confirmed language list. It is not a promise of full voice tracks in every language. Change the language in options; it does not change Rally, Command Points, or Mission win conditions.
Staff
Music is by Rei Kondoh. Producer is Masaru Saito. Director is Makoto Yamamoto. Story is by Izuru Matsuno. Character design is by Junko Kawano and Niji Hayashi. Supervisor is Masayuki Horikawa. Those credits are part of the shipped identity of BRIGANDINE ABYSS. They are not a substitute for Adglobe as developer. Older Brigandine games had different studio lines; this one is Adglobe.
Demo: two seasons, no inheritance
A demo exists. It contains the first two seasons of Gran Dragnica (Largo, dragon tamers) and Scarlet Will (Garnet, unicorn mercenaries). That is a Story Mode slice, not Mission Mode’s 24 nations. Demo saves do not transfer to the full game. Official materials confirm the dead end. Treat the demo as a rules tutorial: Organization, Attack, Invasion, one or two Rally experiments. Then buy Standard or another SKU and start a new file.
If you want those two campaigns in the full game, they are waiting in Story Mode with the other four: Mysteine under Zeilzarde, Purifanoe under Alicebelle, the Samura Clan under Saya, and Pandemyuon under TYPE-F. See Story campaigns and the faction overview. Mission Mode still opens all 24 nations from the start; see Mission Mode.
PC version 1.01 and Switch 2 frame rate
PC version 1.01 added V-Sync; 30, 60, 120, 144, and unlimited frame-rate caps; unit color coding; Default/Medium/Small unit size; buying equipment from the change-equipment screen; and mouse edge-scroll. Switch 2 is locked at 30fps by design. Those are platform facts, not balance patches invented for this article.
What launched inside the war
On every platform you get the same single-player structure. Story Mode: six campaigns. Mission Mode: 24 nations, unique win conditions (conquest, debt, money, monster collection, class limits, short season limits), typically 99 seasons. Difficulty: Easy, Normal, Hard, with Normal already demanding. Hex combat: up to three leader squads, up to five monsters per leader via Command Points, Rally, Dismiss, vertical terrain. Class change at 10; level 20 needs a quest item except for faction leaders. Mercenaries who lose are gone. How to Play is the loop page. Rally and combat tips are the battle pages. Classes, monster summoning, base building, and quests and training are the Organization pages.
